Homestay in Vancouver, BC

We live in Champlain Heights, which is located in Southeast Vancouver, in a quiet tree-lined, family-oriented, neighbourhood. We are close to several parks including Central Park in Burnaby, and many amenities including a community centre, libraries, and Metrotown shopping centre. There is a bus stop just around the corner from our home and it is a short 15min bus ride to Skytrain from which you can reach downtown Vancouver in about 15 mins (and Metrotown in about 5 mins). We are centrally located and it is easy to get by transit to all of the major schools in the Vancouver area including Langara, Douglas College, BCIT downtown campus, SFU downtown campus, and Vancouver Community College.

We have 1 private room available on the second floor of our house it includes a shared bathroom that you would be sharing with our youngest daughter, currently attending high school. Your private room includes a double (full sized) bed with a memory foam mattress, nightstand, vanity, dresser, closet, and full length mirror. Your monthly fee of $840 includes daily continental breakfast and dinner, and wireless internet. THIS ROOM IS AVAILABLE STARTING JANUARY 15, 2020.

We have 2 children, and our oldest daughter has gone off to university for the next 4 years, as a result freeing up a room in our house. We have a charming love bird (caged) that lives downstairs in our back living room. We enjoy having fun together as a family, going to movies, going on nature walks, attending galleries, museums and the Vancouver Aquarium, as well as spending quiet time reading at home.

Both parents are employed full-time in downtown Vancouver. Dad is an educational administrator at a post-secondary media arts training school and mum is a federal government employee, as well as a volunteer Scout Leader in the Burnaby area.

Our expectation is that our homestay student will become a part of our family and we hope to hear from you soon!
