We are looking for a respectful homestay student to live in our apartment at the rear of our property above the garage. You will have this fully equipped, fantastic space with kitchen and bathroom all to yourself, set up perfectly for a guest looking for temporary accommodation. This apartment suits a guest who is happy to come and go (with entry through the garage not disturbing the family) and look after themselves with limited, respectful and kind interaction.
About us:
We are a very easy-going and loving family living only 5km from the City of Melbourne in the fantastic and trendy suburb of Kensington. Our home is 600 metres easy walk from the train station and we also have a bus outside our home. We are nearby to shops, beautiful parks with running tracks, gyms and pools and only a 10 minute train ride to the Melbourne central business district. The bus from our house runs past the RMH and Royal womens hospitals, Melbourne University and Australian Catholic University, while the train goes to RMIT and Victoria University is also 2km distance from us.
Our family consists of myself and my husband and our four children aged 10, 8, 3, 1. We are used to hosting international guests and have had 8 au pairs live with us over the past 5 years. We’ve had a fantastic time getting to know them and sharing family life with them.
We have a tendency to be at times a noisy family with our boys and girls playing music all the time, having play fights, playing ball games, singing & calling to each other. As such, we really want a homestay student that can cope with the sound of noisy children playing in their midst. Our children however never intrude on our international guests in their apartment and as such, we know our homestay guest would find privacy in our property.
